Who We Are

Yá’át’ééh!

Red Valley/Cove High School is the home of the Miners! We serve approximately 50 ninth through twelfth grade Navajo Indian students. Our students hail from multiple communities across a large geographical area, and some must travel long distances to attend school. We have grown in numbers and strength since we opened our doors in 2008 with just 27 students and a graduating class of three students.

Mission Statement

Honoring K'e and the commitment of the local Diné communities by providing a quality education and inspiring students' success throughout life's challenges.

Our Community

Red Rock, also known as Red Valley, is located in a remote area of northeastern Arizona near the Arizona and New Mexico state line, about 25 miles southeast of Four Corners.

The majority of the people living in the area are Navajo Indians. With few services or employment opportunities, ours is a humble population. Our entire community includes our high school, a convenience store, a Navajo Nation chapter house, and an elementary school.
